I was advised to start a new thread. I'm hoping that these blood test results may mean something to anyone out there. I've been diagnosed Autoimmune Hypothyroid for over five years. I'm currently on 150mcgs Levothyroxine, but I still feel exhausted, fatigued, I’m overweight, have headaches, blurry vision, heavy aching limbs to name but a few. The ferritin worries me the most; it is too high, especially as my dad died with Cirrhosis of the liver and Liver and Kidney cancer. Anyone else has this problem?
I saw the GP this morning and told her of my concerns regarding the low B12. She said that’s not at all low and I then told her of my concerns with the high Ferritin. She said that the range is 10-170 and that I am only one point above that normal it’s nothing for you to worry about. I then told her that the top range of normal is abnormal and that worried me. I feel like it was a total waste of time going in there, anyway I gave her a list of my symptoms. She did attach a copy of my symptoms to my notes and arrange for more bloods, namely Ferritin, Autoantibodies screen, ESR, CRP, Liver Function and Urea/elec/creat. I think I’ll change my GP.
