I'm 20 years old. My period is almost two weeks late. I have not had sex but I have done other things, so to clear my head I took a home pregnancy test at home which came out negative, the next morning I went to the school physician and took another one and it came out negative. Still no period and lower abdominal pain/cramping. I got a sonogram and my uterus is oversized, the woman that performed the sonogram said it looked like a fibroid tumor. That same day the sonograms were sent to two radiologist. One said not to worry too much and asked me to get a pelvic x-ray and an MRI, the other told me to see a gyno immediately. Apparently this is a rare case for a woman under 30 who has never had sex. I'm scared. The choices to get rid of the tumor aren't exactly reassuring. I've never had surgery before and the thought of having my uterus removed tears me apart. Advice?
Updated: I got my period today. 9 days late, I think. Pretty normal so far, it only happened a few hours ago so I can't say how normal it is until tomorrow. I'm not as scared now for some reason. Like, getting my period is better than not getting it right? %-)

Updated: It's still only been a few hours since I got my period but there's a lot of brown clots along with the blood. Should I worry? Or is that normal with a fibroid tumor? And the fact that I was 9-10 days late?
