Do not wait !! Ten years is a long time to suffer . One day when you do get stones the pain is unberable and if a stone gets stuck in your bile duck you will die if you don’t get immediate surgery . Immediate surgery meaning they cut you open the old fashion way and you are in the hospital for a week and need a bag to drain your fluids for 6 weeks. If you take care of it now you can hopefully have the basic procedure 4 holes and recovery is only 2 weeks at home and you get to go in as a outpatient

I'm having the exact opposite response. I had my gallbladder out five days ago and am constipated ever since. I've had 2% milk with cereal and eating whole grain foods. My surgery was laparoscopic with five incisions and only two are still sore. I'm still a bit tired all the time but otherwise feel okay.

I had gall bladder surgery 4 months ago after suffering from extreme pain. I just keep searching the web for topics like 'what should I eat after gall bladder surgery'. Some of them differ but most of them have things in common like heavy fatty foods, spicy foods, fried foods, and creamy foods.

A diet that is hard to follow just won't do. So, for the most part I adapted a permanent LIFE STYLE CHANGE. I chose what I could give up. I therefore gave up Meat, Bread, Dairy, Sweets, and Sodas. Was it hard? YES. Do I cheat? YES. But, for the most part, my meals consist (90%) mostly of Fruits, Vegetables, Brown Rice, Quinoa things like that. I don't eat Broccoli or Lettuce. But I do eat Spinach. Everyone has to find something that will work with their system. I do have Shrimp, or Sardines about 3 times a month but other than that, I stay away from meat. Thankfully, I don't have trouble with diarrhea but I do have a little stomach pain sometimes no matter what I eat. The amount you eat also hurts. Better to eat 5 small meals than 3 large ones. I lost a total of 40 lbs. and have managed to keep it off with a healthy life style change and a commitment to sensible exercise 5 times a week. I hope this helps. God Bless and Stay Strong!

If you cant get out look on You tube for senior exercises, get small equipment like a under desk bike. I pedal while I watch TV. Bands that strengthen your arms and legs by offering resistance. God Bless and Stay Strong! Just move even if its walking in place. I hope this helps.

Guys, please look into a good lipase supplement. Without a gallbladder, it gets hard to digest food right. Start with that. You won't need a supplement with protease right off, if ever, and it can make your stomach/indigestion worse.

For those with diarrhea, look into getting a cholestyramine prescription if the lipase alone isn't working. Please, you don't need to suffer anymore. Avoid these ridiculous websites that will only serve to terrify you!
