I have been taking 30mgs/day of dextrostat for about 5 years now. (Very similar to adderal). For many reasons, I've chosen to stop. That's all irrelevant. I just need anyone's advice on what works best to not become absolutely lethargic throughout these next couple of weeks. I've done this once before & it was extremely difficult. I'm a mother of two young boys & I need to be able to function! Once the shock of stopping the medication subsides & withdrawal symptoms fade, I'll be good to go!! I'm concerned for these first initial weeks without it though!! Please help with ANY advice or method!! THANKS!
It's going to be rough no matter how you do it. Here are some things you can do that will help some.
Make sure you're eating well. One of the issues you may have is weight gain as a result of over eating. Consider increasing your intake of Vitamin B6, B12 and C, as they are important in bringing your dopamine levels back to the way they were before you started taking dextrostat. Vitamin C is also a proven way to make the recovery time for extended amphetamine use shorter.
Potassium can help to give you a boost of energy when you need it. Stay away from caffeine if you can, as it only makes you feel worse. Exercise is also great, but it is hard when you feel like you have no energy.
I wish you the best of luck.
