If you notice these kinds of tiny bumps on your lips you might not have a reason to worry, they just might be Fordyce spots.

My CO2 laser treatment is coming up next week, so wish me good luck guys!!
Finally after several years of visits to various doctors, who didn't even know what fordyce spots are and how badly it can affect people, i finally found a doctor who understands me.
So next week we will do a test on a smaller area of the lip. If everything works out well we will treat the whole upper lip. So excited!
I know from scientific research that some of the spots can come back after a CO2 laser treatment. But my plan is to do the laser treatment and then wait and see. If some spots is coming back i will visit my dermatologist who will take a needle and pop the spots. Therefore i hope i can maintain nice lips :)

Good luck with the co2 laser treatment. Please keep us posted in a few weeks with the results. I've had fordyce spots for a few years and have been considering co2 laser treatment but not sure how well it works.

Hey everybody I just thought i would share a failed treatment with you. For the past 3 weeks I have been taking a l-lysine pill and a garlic pill everyday.I have started Using mouthwash and flossing. And every night I have been applying Clearasil Vanishing acne treatment cream to my lips and leaving it on overnight. None of those had any affect at all so now Im stopping them. Though I will keep using mouthwash and flossing. Now I guess we know a few more things that dont work. Good Luck

Yo that sound weird but try not to sit on your ass if you work do overtime to fix your paid. And do the gym to bend that pain out of shape to pleasure yourself with out experiencing pain through physical bruising depression

Did my CO2 laser today! Just on a small area of the lip (like 1 x 1 cm). Went smooth. Didn't hurt at all. Its a bit sore right now. So now I will let it heal for a week or so, and if everything seems to be alright we will treat the whole lip.
The doctor said that the spots was WERY deep in the skin, and could explain the lack of results from applying tretinoin cream and other home remedies. They just don't go deep enough into the lip.
But guys, CO2 might work, I will post here like every other day to let u know how it goes!

i got these spots at the begining of 2015, after a sexual encounter some grains spread on my penis , doctor prescribed a cream, i was puting it ( imikimod ) on these grains and unfortunatelly i touch my mouth without washing my hand. after this i feel my lip burning, idk if it was the cream or the infection on the penis but days after i noticed some change on the colour of the upper lip on the bottom part almost unnoticeable. i went to the doctor he said it was just dryness and prescribed me a moisturizer, so i did but i think it made the thing worst. time ago like october, the stain was almost white in almost my whole upper lip so everyone noticed of it , i went to various dermatologist and all said it was fordyce spots. i tried liquid nitrogen on a corner of the lip just to see if it worked but nothing. currently im on second week of tretinoin 0.025% , garlic softgel 1500 mg three times per day, and aloe vera to moisturize the lips all the times i can per day. today i noticed some improvement. Excuse bad english.

I developed fordyce spots on my lips when I was 18...I am now 38...It first began in the corners of my lips, spread across the top lip where the lip and the gums meet, the spread to my bottom lip...keeping hydrated has help diminish the appearance and the occasional popping on the top lip of the most notable ones....I recently started drinking 2tsp of Apple Cider Vinegar with 4 ounces of water twice daily for about a week now and noticed they are, well, disappearing....my lips have smoothed out, they are no longer dry, and a couple of the bigger spots have disappeared...plus my skin overall looks radiant and clear....I would definitely recommend using ACV...not all ACV is the same though. The brand I use is by Braggs, unfiltered, with mother....hope it helps you all! It's helping me!! Ray
