The cure!!! Suffered for months. Been on this forum many times trying many products Suggested. That Bach rescue remedy is c**p, neosporin made it worse. Vitamin e, oils ect did little to improve. I had it bad, multiple sores a dime or bigger. And a huge half dollar size one on the sack and man it was painful. I went out in a blaze of glory, a wild 3some with 2 girls and I'll be damned if i wouldnt do it again. For when it was in pain and inflamed hydrocortisone cream was a life saver. Reduced the swelling and pain for those times but don't use it constantly. Then apply bio oil I liked it very good moisturizing worked well. It faded quickly and would need to reapply often so I would cover it with penaten cream. It's thicker and stays longer and protects it. Idk what the sh*t is I can't read german or whatever it says and it looks like goat cheese but damn it worked. I guess it's for fat girls stretch marks but it worked. That combo was the fastest improvement in days than the rest of the c**p did in months. I am cured now finally and am off on my next sexual expedition. Best of luck to you guys and your journey back to the pink we love so much.

Hey guys,

I've had a bad case of friction burn that i got from masturbation with a rough towel. It has been a bad case for 4+ months now, were it semi healed only to get irritated or have the top layer skin come off. It's affected my life drastically like many of you mentioned.

I've tried many things, coconut oil, calendula, neosporin, neem oil, vitamin e... etc.

Just 3 days ago i remember i had gone to a dermatologist for another issue regarding some rashes from sweat and sitting and he gave me the cream (Fluticasone Proportionate cream 0.05%). I googled it, and while it didn't say that it was for anything like friction burn, there was a note that doctors have perscribed it for penis and vaginal adhesions, although the directions don't say that. I literally had none left... but the little i did have I started placing on there twice a day and oh my god!!!! the progress i have seen on the area affected. the skin has started to blend again into the rest of my skin, it doesn't feel sensitive anymore. I am in disbelief given the emotional stess i've had the last 4 months of it not going away. I still have not dare test it with sex with the gf. But just from the overall look... speechless.

I came on here to share, in hopes that maybe it will help somebody. I believe it can only be perscribed. Hope it helps.

So i am back as a follow up. The "Fluticason Proportionate cream" is no joke. I am fully healed!!!!!! I have had sex with my girl over the past week with no hesitation and nothing!! no irritation, no tearing. The skin is normal again. A little discoloration overall, but that is normal of any skin regrowth. I urge you guys to seek this product from your dermatologist and see if helps you the way it did me. I know you guys know the feeling of knowing you have gotten over that stress! Best of luck to all you.

I actualy found something that works pretty well... I'm sorry but this a bit funny but I am really serious.  Working Hands cream.  I've always had skin on my hands that gets really dry in cold weather, and this stuff works like a charm.  I had some, figured "Why not give it a try on my little bud?"  Incidentally guys, this problem can show up at any time.  I NEVER used to see this during my younger years, but once I hit my late 50s, the friction burn thing became a problem.  My doc says it is quite common and nothing to fret over.  Remember, though, an ounce of prevention... lube is your friend!  And that goes especially for self-stroking.

Hi Wookie, it's as if am reading my self and my boyfriend. We just started going out our second time making love ,six weeks as he lives and works a long way from me. second time , and two weeks after, a problem arise ,yes that night we did go very long in every way.at line. Then a week later he told me what was wrong, I felt so bad, because never contract STD or anything in that line with any one. But he like to masturbate and that every morning and I think every chance he would get, Eventually he was told by his GP it was thrust by doing too much masturbating ,it is well over four weeks now. and it hasn't heal ,but knowing him he will try. I would advised ,make sure to wash hands before handling your penis, because at time you do not realised ,infection are easy to picked up , stop having sex for a while fully and wash massage , what ever dressing , cream , ointment , like attending a baby then when you start again , you start slowly, bj. take care, gently sex, we all want it rough at time , I DO . some TIME THRUST FROM THE LADY ,hasn't have to be STI'S could be from medications like antibiotic's. TAKE GOOD CARE WE ALL LOVE A GOOD SEX.

It seems people are still asking about possible remedies so I figure I'd put my two cents in regarding the success I've seen with my very similar situation.  Scroll to the bottom if you don't care for any background, but it always gives me more confidence in someone's answer when they go to the trouble describing as much as possible.

My symptoms were the same.  Seemingly over-night, after some rather intense intercourse, I noticed redness, irritation, and what looked like raw skin on the right side of my penis underneath the head about a half inch in length.  It was a bit painful at first, and obviously I took it easy for a few weeks.  I went to my regular doctor to receive a very inclusive test panel for any STDs, etc.  Nothing came up positive.  Just to be sure I went to a second clinic some time later but it yielded no positive results.  Relieved, I became sexually active again.  But to my dismay, after having sex the same area would seem to become irritated again, looked raw, and sometimes became a bit painful.

Eventually, like everyone else here, I decided to do some digging around on the internet to see what I could come up with.

I originally came across this specific thread around three months ago, as well as similar discussions on various websites.  Some of the replies seemed a bit scripted, or mentioned a specific product like it was just a plug for John Doe or whomever to make money.  However, a seemingly legitimate post mentioning sulfate-free shampoo and/or body wash caught my eye since there were no specific brands or otherwise involved.  The poster seemed happy with the results, and an easy switch to different soaps seemed economical and easy enough opposed to remembering cream applications, etc.  I went to target, picked up both, and immediately replaced it with my previous shampoo and shower gel.

It's now been nearly three months using them, and I'm also very satisfied.  For at least an entire month my symptoms have evaporated.  No pain, no irritation, no raw appearance, no scaling or apparent attempt of my skin trying to heal itself, and I don't have to hold back in the sack. :P

I absolutely want to remind you that this was my experience, and could very well have been a matter of correlation instead of causation.  My situation is not the same as it was even a few months ago.  But it's been nearly three months using them, and I'm also very satisfied.  For at least an entire month my symptoms have evaporated.  No pain, no irritation, no raw appearance, no scaling or apparent attempt of my skin trying to heal itself, and I don't have to hold back in the sack. :P

So, what I mean to say is that if you've tried various things with no success, or have just started your hunt for a possible answer to an unfortunately persistent problem, try switching to a sulfate-free shampoo and body wash (the body wash I purchased is a bar of soap).  They were a bit more pricey but since I'm removing the cost of my previous products from the equation it's really not much to add-on.  I couldn't tell you why these seemed to help if indeed there is any causation involved, but if I had to take a contextually uneducated guess I'd say the new products are allowing needed natural oils or whatever to remain in that area of my body for the healing process.  But goodness please don't quote me on that.

If anyone decides to also give it a shot I'm curious to know what becomes of it, whether positive, negative, or somewhere in the middle.

Cheers! :)

Edit: Just a quick note pointing out that part of the post repeats itself. I was cutting and pasting parts of paragraphs where they seemed to fit best and looked over a couple things. I have a tendency to make posts on such discussion boards a slightly bigger deal than possibly called-for...which, if anyone has a remedy for...well...please enlighten me. It's still a mystery.

Cheers! :)

To all with this issue, DO NOT USE HYDROCORTISONE CREAM. I learned the hard way that this can cause much worse issues. I personally thought it could help kill the raw itching sensation, but after applied things took a turn for the worse. Inflammation, rash, and horrible itching. After speaking with my doctor I learned the if the cortisone cream gets into a cut it can cause a large infection ( i e yeast infection). The best remedy is patience, use Aquafor (petroleum jelly) regularly to moisturize the area and air dry when possible. It will get better eventually.
