Guys, I thought I'd chime in. As the other hundred posts, I had a penis with pretty bad friction burn. Down the shaft, foreskin, and head. I got involved with a pretty wild woman who went nuts with the oral. She used hard, intense jerking actio. She went at it for a good 25 minutes or so. It was numb, and I didn't feel the damage she was doing. I will say as a disclaimer, first get it checked out by a physician. I went to my urologist to make sure it wasn't an STD, and I got the all clear.
He basically said to leave it alone, and the redness and tenderness should go away. Well, after 2 months, it still didn't. I tried every moisturizer, skin repair cream I could find. NOTHING worked.
I tried a cream I had for heat rash. It's called Fluocinonide USP, 0.05%. This stuff cleared up the redness and tenderness in about 3 days. I still have a small amount of redness still to clear, but I have all hopes it will go away also, since I had remarkable success with this cream. It is prescription, so you'll have to get your doctor to prescribe it.
I saw another post recommending it, and it worked for that guy too. It's entirely up to you. I just wanted to share, since this is a really painful, miserable thing to have.

Mine started right after sex. pretty good hand job along with mouth action. Usually, my penis gets red from the action, but calms down within 24 hrs. This time it didn't. I tried everything. several prescription creams, had it verified it wasn't an STD. Doc said to just leave it alone and it will heal on it's own. After 3 months it didn't.
As a shot in the dark, I tried Lotrimin, anti Fungal. They have a prescription strength in the drug store. I applied it twice a day, and after about 7 days, the color returned to normal, and no pain during sex.
You can only imagine how happy I was to get him back to normal. Give it a try. you could have the equivilant as a female yeast infection.

I've had this problem twice in my life. The first time was in my early-mid twenties and it took months to go away. What worked the best for comfort/healing was gold bond.
It happened again to me just a few weeks ago. I was super nervous about this because I had vacation plans with a woman starting just two weeks after the burn/tear occurred. It completely healed in about 11 days. I did three things: Smeared diaper rash cream on 3-4 times a day (zinc oxide level of about 40%,) I stopped aerobic exercising so I wouldn't be sweating all over the burn and drying it out, and I didn't masturbate. That last one was a lot easier this time around then back in my mid-twenties!
Good luck and remember: women's genitals are a fair bit more complicated than men's and most of them have experienced occasional issues with them. If you're honest with them about any insecurities you have regarding a burn on your penis most of them will be pretty cool about it.

Unforeskinned men, who lack the internally lubricated foreskin and its gliding action, have more trouble with friction irritation. It is necessary to use a personal lubricant, which is sold in drug stores when the female partner does not lubricate well.
