Take some time off. It needs the time and space to heal. She probably does too and will appreciate it as well.......

Aquafor is your friend, and abstinence. I've suffered 3 months and when a two week period of rest took place big improvement but still dealing. Use aquafor and always keep it lubed and out of the sun. Dryness is your enemy. Also use lube when you play. Alcohol desensitizes too so strong chance of reinjuring

Sounds like your skin needs a boost in resilience. Maybe a health cream could help. Man1 Man Oil has lots of ingredients to fortify the skin, including vitamins E and C and Shea butter. Using it every day could help strengthen the skin. And, of course, use lube when having sex/masturbating.

My partner and I have suffered from this quite a few times over the last year, and despite her being naturally very well-lubricated, there are certain positions and certain times of the month that expose us to excessive friction and yeast infections.
I have experienced micro-rips in my foreskin (I am not circumcised) and quite a lot of redness and irritation. Not to mention of course the frustration of no longer being able to make love with my irresistible Italian girlfriend...
We've tried a whole host of remedies, but what works for us is:
- rincing ourselves with clear water after sex
- applying a mixture of Lavendar and Borage (Starflower) natural oils
- washing for 2 days (no more) with an antibacterial soap like IsoBetadine
- and of course the most difficult part, abstaining from sex
I'm not surprised that people have said things like lip-balm and baby change cream (zinc oxide) have worked; any cream designed to restructure and protect the skin should have a positive effect - but avoid the hydrocortisone and any other steroid ointment!!! Remember too that antibiotics can seriously damage a woman's natural vaginal flora!
That's our 2 euros worth :)

- Non-allergenic soap *this is key
- apply vitamin e ointment
- use Astroglide for lubrication at all times
- and obviously abstain as much as possible until healing is underway

one thing that did cure the soreness was by putting a cup of concentrated vinegar into a bath. this healed the burns (warning: this can sting bigtime about a minute or two but is worth it if you can handle it).
but once the soreness is healed, i found it coming back with a vengeance with any masturbation, sex, and especially with any heat/moisture.
the skin simply isn't the same. using Gold Bond medicated lotion on it in the mornings is what i am doing now, and that seems to be helping, but i am not sure it's what i would refer to as a "cure".
i will also comment that soap and detergents seem to irritate it, and for that reason i only rinse with vinegar and apply te Gold Bond lotion. i reas that using vaseline is also effective for some people (i may do that when the Gold Bond runs out).

Have you tried using a penis health creme? These cremes are made specifically for the penis and treat all sorts of minor skin issues down there. What you are describing is exactly what these cremes are for. You might want to look into it. Good luck.
