I've also had a very similar problem... unfortunately several times.
Antibiotic cream was a good suggestion.
I wish I had thought about that before.
All I could think to do was tough it out.

You describe exactly what iv been going through! Seams like it heals but after sex it's bright red and 1 or 2 cracks??? Iv been using polysporin and it seams to heal better. But once again after sex it's bright red again???

Go online and get a product called Man1 Man Oil. It is by far the best thing for friction burns, chafing, dryness, soreness, discoloration etc. It will treat your current problem and prevent if from reoccurring. It is an amazing product. Good luck man.

I had same problem I used crest tooth gel to dry it up and put neosporin in it, so far it's working . WHN taking shower don't wash hard in this area so not to wash scab off pat dry then reapply again let this area get plenty of air. Hopefully in a couple days should be completely heal.

I'm a black male I went thru the same thing. I used crest tooth gel mixed with neosporin to seal the split so it can heal. Mine healed with in 7 days. Me and the wife had intercourse it didn't split again

Hello I am also a black male and have tried, medicated Vaseline, lotromin, Neosporin, vitamin E gell, and most recently man 1 oil for about the last two weeks every day twice a day and it seemed to be healed over completely and today after a sex I split right back like clock work. I tell this really sucks. its like the friction gets going and bam. Does the crest neo mix really I am to the point now to stop trying stuff cause nothing works.

Experiencing the same problem. Antibiotic cream didn't help. Now trying "Butt Paste" - the diaper rash stuff with zinc oxide. Figured it is works well for babies and the constant irritation they go through, it might do the trick in this situation.

I have had the same issues for over a week now been with my girl for two years and never happened one night of hard cowgirl and now it's screwed up! I had this same problem about a year ago and couldn't get it to heal for nothing. I finally went to the doctor and he gave me a prescription for Mupirocin ointment and it was the only thing that would work. It finally healed and went away. Well about three weeks ago I got it again. And it will not heal. I finally found the ointment two days ago. And it has healed after using this stuff for two days. This stuff is awesome. So if you have this problem, I suggest you go to your doctor and request Mupirocin ointment. Depending on the size of your sore, it should be completely healed in 3-7 days. Good luck!

Using Butt Paste alone seemed to be better than only using Lotrimin, so I decided to use a combo, alternating between Lotrimin (recommended on this board as well) and Butt Paste. Applied each twice daily for a total of four applications. Cleared up quickly at first, but took about two weeks to completely heal.
