Had this exact problem. I went to a dermatologist, it was an embarrasing visit however, she gave me some steroid cream that after a couple of weeks solved the problem. God Luck!

I think i got it! Alright so I've had this exact same problem for almost a year now and for a while I figured there was no cure because the burn was not going away no matter how hard I tried. I tried to give it time to heal on it's own, then the hydro quarterzone cream and other things rather like it and nothing worked. I even tried the Bach's rescue remedy and it worked a little, but not nearly enough to cure me. Its seriously depressing. But one day I stumbled upon this cream that was lying around the house which was supposedly good for dry skin, burns and other ailments that suck. One of the key ingredients is zinc which is great for burns. The stuff is called Penaten Cream and is legitimately good for everything. It not only got rid of my dry hands, but I used the stuff for 3 days and got wicked results. Saved my life. Only downside is it's thick and white and sticks to everything. Looks like I just jizzed in my pants every time I use it but it's SO worth it! Hope this helps you out!

Hello - Yes I join the ranks of friction burn victims, this last girl I was with really did a number on me.  We did it twice in the night, than again the next morning, and the morning REALLY began to burn on both sides.  It has not cleared and is still sensitive to the touch.  that was about 5 days ago...(I got tested for herps recently and do not have them...with my resume I consider myself quite lucky!)  I have a few recommendations, and things I need to do a better job of implementing too.

1. use toys.  I like having sex with a girl and using the celebrator at the same time.  Start off like you normally do, and then stick the toy to her clit (or let her stick it herself for better accuracy).  This way you can pause.  Once she starts tingling/shaking/twitching, start pumping slowly, let her climax, and build yourself up to climax in the process.  She is more wet which means you will have less friction, and believe me when she orgasms all over your penis, it is easier to pump out the finale quickly.

2. make sure she is good about shaving.  Either grow it out or keep it smoother than a baby's butt...if she gets a whiskered vagina, it is like sandpaper and your screwed!

3.  Shower LESS frequently.  Sounds hypocritical, but don't take 3 showers a  day and scrub your willie like a mad man.  keep the moisturizer on their routinely and let it do the trick.  Right now I am trying products with zinc oxide, hopefully it will work out for the best.  Good luck gents, and cheers to getting our willies wet again soon!

We also share this what seems to be quite common dilemma. My partner is circumcised and every time we have sex he ends up with friction burns on the underside of his penis, usually around the circumcision scars and down the centre line. We do not have overly vigorous sex and don't think this is the cause for us. I tend to be a bit on the drier side with my vaginal secretions and we also think there may be a bit of a PH balance issue (perhaps for both of us) which we put down to our crappy modern diet. We use Aloe Vera 99.9% gel for healing when we experience stinging or raw skin and this seems to be quite effective. I also use coconut oil when I experience dry skin around my vagina and this is also very soothing and moisturizing. These are sensitive areas and I tend to try to keep all chemicals away from them. My dermatologist told me to not use any soaps on my vaginal area but rather to wash with a simple moisturizer like E45 for dry skin.
Hope this has been of some use to some fellow sufferers out there. We are going to try changing our diet to a healthier Paleolithic style of diet to try to improve any PH or hormonal balance issues. This should also increase our sex drive and improve my vaginal secretions :D If you are interested in this I recommend Robb Wolf's The Paleo Solution book and podcast. Good luck and we hope you find a solution that works for you.

I put on hydrocortisone and then put cetaphil lotion on after. It doesn't cure anything, but it definitely makes it more manageable. That way when you are walking around, when you junk moves it won't get more irritated. That's how the cetaphil lotion helps

hi

i'm a girl, coming to this site to better play nurse to my ailing new bf

(our first time making love was wowzers, but it left him with symptoms you've described so well above that i won't bother repeating)

us girls get friction burns around the labia and the opening to the vagina and that ugly redness is likewise comparatively distressing

i use BACH RESCUE CREAM or SPRAY on the burn, and bach drops orally as this remedy is originally intended to keep you calm during a crisis, to help you physically and emotionaly tolerate stress and even dire emergency.

when taking orally, put 4 drops under tongue, as often as needed
OR you can put 4 drops in filled water bottle and sip during the day.
(this works really well if you're at work or out in public and wanting some relief). it's subtle, gentle but it really works.

i also use, for myself and now my ailing friend, a cortison cream prescribed by dr, (here in canada it's called BETADERM) as it goes on cool and instantly alleviates burning, itching, soreness.

i don't rub it in all the way. i leave the area coated in white cream to kind of protect it from being rubbed by clothes. and hands.

aside from making a humorous 'penis' stretcher out of the insides of a big candy bar for my new love -- and taking a few nights off to heal -- got any suggestions guys as to what else i can do??

i'm tempted to make a skimpy nurse uniform from the pleasures shop, and thrift store, but think i'll stock up on BACH RESCUE REMEDY instead. i`ve been using it for years but thanks to dude before me, i learned it can be applied directly to burns (guess we should mention that if you`ve already used some under the tongue, buy a new bottle to heal that precious little?? red riding hood... )

all the best guys and thanks so much for giving me insight into the male uh experience

it may be psoriasis which can lead to the same item.  Cortisone is the cure, a dermatologist can prescribe

Anyone still checking this? I have almost the exact same symptoms as the OP, a raw-looking burn on the right side of the shaft under the head of the penis from sex. It's been almost 3 weeks now, and I went to the clinic to make sure it wasn't STD related. They told me I probably have herpes and took a swab for the culture test. So, naturally I'm freaking out as it'll take a week to come back. I told the doc I'd had no blisters or anything, and no real pain except when putting pressure or rubbing the spot. But he said that since the spot was slightly raised, he thought it was herpes. I countered that it was slightly raised because I keep reaggrevating it, to which he replied that he wasn't going to argue, just wait for the test. I've had one committed partner for the last 3 months who shows no symptoms; I know that herpes can hide out for a long time before rearing its ugly head, but from what I've read usually symptoms appear within the first few weeks of exposure. Also doesn't herpes usually start to scab over by the third week? Any input on my situation would be much appreciated.

Dear Everyone,

It was almost 2 years ago that I had really drunk sex 3 times in one night with my girlfriend at the time.  my penis tore on the left side right under the head.  there was never bleeding or anything, but a clear red tear.     My sex life has never been the same.  My penis cannot tolerate what it used too.  Get GOLDBOND cream apply it to the affected area.

THIS WILL NEVER GO AWAY,  your penis will seal back up but it will never be fully healed and will reopen frequently
i am sorry for myself and all of you as well.  You will grow to accept it.

Had this problem(the friction burn wouldn't go away for months, puffed up and stuff when I had any sort of contact), went to a urologist he gave me triamcinolone and told me to put it on twice a day for 6 weeks. Literally went away on the first application, but now it's extremely dry down there and I'm going to see him next month. Good luck boys
