I too have this issue.Aloe varae is somewhat a good solution for me.But often recurs even a tight morning erection, bed hump, masturbation, oral sex, condom friction, etc.Diabetes can be reason for recurrence too.I still have not found any sustained solution.Keenly going through this forum for anyone found a durable solution.

Gonna try make this post brief.
Ill begin by saying that ive had this problem now for over 6 months, started by having sex with multiple women without a condom and going a bit too hard at it. Had the burning feeling eversince and dry flaking skin on the head of the penis. Tried extra virgin coconut oil initially cause heard it was good for moisturising and if it was a yeast infection which i intially assumed it was coconut oil has good antifungal properties. Anyway months went by and no signs of my penis getting any better, even tried man1 man oil which didnt help at all.
Going through these posts, someone on here recommended using penaten cream, i had nothing to lose so i ordered it online. Used it on the first day by applying lightly over the affected area and just left it on for a whole day and overnight and instantly saw improvement the next day, i was even able to have sex the following night with my current partner. Going to continue to use it now till the symptom completely goes away hopefully... and its looking promising.
The only downside to Penaten is its thick and does not absorb into the skin if your going to wash it off the next morning make sure you use a soap free wash such as dermeze (which im using) to as not to irritate or dry out the affected area again.
Well, help this info will help some of you guys out there. I know how it feels to have this severely depressing problem.
Thanks to the person who suggested it in one of the previous replies.

For me, I found the best treatment was simply aloe vera, time, no masturbation, and a talk with my girlfriend. It has been around 12 days. I have worried, googled, and spent way too much time looking at my penis. It takes time, and no it will not heal extremely fast. Avoid the hydrocortisone; avoid excessive contact; do not shower excessive amounts. Let the glans heal! If you need to have sex, use a lubricants, wash it afterwards with just water. I wore briefs all week, went commando when possible, and talked to my doctor.
My doctor (who happens to be my best friend as well) told me it will heal, but that it may have a little scar tissue. All in all, it looks okay. But honestly, I have never stared at my penis until now. My girlfriend can't notice. I would say about 95% of all this was psychogenic. Breathe, do something constructive. I reiterate, I stared at my penis way too long.

Hydro Cortisone cream thins the skin out. A long time ago, a dermatologist advised me not to use it on the penis, because the skin on the penis is already very thin. I would not recommend this. At best, on use it a few times. I have friction rash right now and I am not sure what to do this time. Its weeping this time which has never happened. Last time I had this, applying mineral oil made it finally go away after a few days (applying it several time a day). I think I am going to try that again.

hey guys!!
I have a same issue...I had sex almost daily and i like doing it rough and it even lasted for about 45 mins sometimes.
i have a good physique. and even when i masturbated , i did it real fast sometimes...so one day i experienced a burn kind sensation lasting for about 5 seconds only and before that a little itch kind...nothing else happened but i got worried. next day i noticed that red patch or a line or a ring kind structure stretching from one lip to another covering only middle portion of the penis i.e the portion seen when foreskin is pulled back. i got worried and thought it is a STD. but my friend it is not a STD , it may develop into a fungal and mine got developed into fungal as i used to wash it with a body wash and apply body wash inside. so donot apply anything on that surface,,,, just leave it alone. And to tell u the truth , it just won't go away. It will remain like that...the patch will remain there. I consulted the doc , did almost everything but it won't just go and yes it is frustrating.
So my suggestion is that just don't look at it and enjoy life to the fullest. WORK HARD and have sex whenever you want to and the way you want to.
We cannot do anything else. so leave it and live life, Got million other things to worry about rather than just keep looking at it after every hour giving ourselves some hope " yeah it is kinda healing and going away , yes !!" hahahaha but the patch is actually laughing back at us :p
so leave and enjoy !!

Honestly, hands off. I was so nervous that I bought like every cream to help. Best stuff I found was Cicabio. It's not a magical cream, but really it helped more than anything else. I put some Aquaphilic on top of it to help protect/keep the cream on and hydrate. Once again. Just take it easy. Cut back on the sexual activity. This heals. It takes time. And avoid the hydrocortisone. I am convinced it makes it worse. My physician recommended it; then I asked for how long. His response, maybe once or twice for three days. If this persists.

I recently started to masturbate more often and one day noticed a circular small shiny reddish mark on the left side of the penis shaft underneath the head. I'm positive it's not an STD. It is less than 1cm. I think it could be friction burn. It's been there for about two weeks. I have been using toliet tissue to masturbate. Maybe I've rubbed to hard causing the mark? I've tried using alcohol wipes to keep the area clean. Also I've used hyrocortizone - not much. Sometimes it looks like it's getting smaller. No pain involved. the mark is still there. Any suggestions? When should I see a doctor or would it be best to see the urlolgist?

Not sure if this was already covered in a previous post, but I had the same thing happen to me and it turned out to be eczema, surprisingly. My doctor gave me cream and within a few days it was 10 times better. I still made the mistake of not taking any time off from sex so it didn't fully heal until I eventually took a week off, but even when I was still having sex, the wound wasn't nearly as "raw" as it was before I started using the cream. Hope this helps!

Thanks for your help. The mark that I have appears to have gotton less red and a little bit smaller. It almost looks like the spot is getting drier - almost like a crack in the skin. Is eczema itchy? If it doesn't clear up by the end of the month I might check out a doctor.

I have had a similar problem for nearly 5 months now and getting worried about it. Last November I was getting a ha****b and my girl at the time tore the skin a bit on my shaft at front, just below the head. It didn't bleed but looked raw. I took time off sex and masturbation and it improved but would not completely go away. I have been masturbating only about once or twice a week. Just the other day i slept naked and kept waking up in the night with erections and the next day i think it improved slightly, then over the next few days a little more. I think the reason is because the wound has get more direct air instead of being well covered by clothes all the time. My advise is try sleeping naked and limit sex/masturbation to once a week. This way you will get erections at night and get air to it.

Thanks for the advice. I will do that. I have limited sex/masturbation to see if this would completely heal. It did sort of. The last post I put up was the skin got dry. Well it peeled off yesterday. The area affected is small - (less then the size of an pencil eraser head) However, this morning I looked again only to see a flesh colored round spot. The same spot is still there. No change in size but the skin is not dry at the spot anymore. Although it's been only around for less than three weeks it's frustrating. Also I get worried and hope it's not something serious like penile cancer or some other disease. I'm hoping - at worst it's eczema or just nothing at all. I have read that sometimes spots are just spots. Thanks for the advice.

I am taking a few minutes to post in the event any people here are fighting against the same horrible thing I was. I suffered for months with severe burning & itching and red spots I'd rub raw from the incessant itch when it reached nightmare proportions. I had tried all the following, with only varying degrees of 'success". Calamine lotion, Lotrimin, miconozole, Psoriasin, Blue Sta ointment, bacitractin ointment, as well as daily washing with Safeguard soap - and loads of ice when the itching got really bad, which it frequently did late at night (that in itself is a strange sensation; rubbing your member to relieve the itch at the same time causes arousal LOL) . It was a very difficult thing for obvious reasons, worrying if you have an std (tests revealed I did not) and naturally, if you have a significant other, it becomes a MAJOR concern to have any scabbing & what appear to be sores in that area. I am happy to report, having been just about at whits end with this, that I finally appear to have beaten it with a $2 tube of 1% HYDRO-Cortisone. In my earlier internet searches, I had seen many people stress NOT TO use regular CORTISONE, for it could cause some type of permanent damage. Its what made me hesitate to try anything with the word cortisone in it, until I finally had no alternatives. So I will repeat, I have had success to where my penis is now near 100% normal in appearance and no itching whatsoever having used 1% Hydro cortisone. I had found it on a similar message board and decided to give it a try. I hope this helps anybody who has been battling this lousy effin' thing. Applying to a cleaned area twice a day, it took about 3-5 days to start showing results. Thank god it did. Good luck.
