Hey guys, I've been reading this forum for the last two months now, as I have been suffering from the same problem. My penis actually got scraped really bad while dry-humping. One of the metal buttons on my jeans was gritty and friction burned a layer of skin right off. Bought the size of a nickel.

First I put Neosporin on it for about two weeks. Then once it was healed, I was left with this nickel-sized patch of discoloration on my penis. It was very visibly embarrassing, and it made me very depressed. So, I found this site, and started trying all the suggestions that all of you have posted. I tried the bachs remedy, hyrdocortisone cream, bio oil, Scarguard, Destin cream, etc etc. None of these seemed to work for me at all. But, in fairness, I must admit that I didn't stick with each therapy for very long. I was incredibly inpatient and went from one cream to the next.

Finally, I talked with a dermatologist, and was recommended a cream called Cicabio. It's manufactured by a skincare company named Bioderm. You can order it online, no prescription is necessary for this cream. It helps restore a damaged epidermis back to its normal state. It was about $30.

I am one month into using this cream, and the discoloration has faded dramatically. Almost back to normal.

Here is my routine for the last month: Cicabio twice a day. And at night I put a little 100%pure aloe vera gel on right before bed. I have been told this helps heal skin as well.

Hope this gives you some greater insight. This therapy helped me. I can't knock the other therapies recommended on this site, as I didn't try them religiously.

Has your skin become less sensitive and has it started to heal and thicken the sensitive damaged skin and the lightening of the discoloration is your normal color returning from using the cicabio cream?

I haven't lost any sensitivity that I can notice. The skin in that area is still a little thin though, but gradually ( and I mean gradually) getting back to normal. I am still only two months into this injury, and I'm told skin takes a while to regenerate. But the discoloration has lessened dramatically. I would say it's back to being 75 % of the original color. It wouldn't be noticeable to anyone else but me. Also, I don't have a girlfriend at the moment, so I've been able to avoid any friction to that area from sex, for the last month or so now. And, I've been trying to limit masturbation, so as to avoid rubbing on the affected area too much.

Would you say the cicabio cream helped you alot? Does it help thicken the skin? my burn is from a steroid cream burn. The skin has become more sensitive to touch and thinned and caused discoloration. Do you think your method could help me?

Yes. I would say the Cicabio cream helped me significantly. Like I said before, the skin is still a little thin on the affected area. But I've noticed that the cream has helped it regain a normal looking structure. And the discoloration has been reduced dramatically. I attribute that to the cream. Also, I definitely think the 100% aloe vera gel has helped speed up recovery as well. It makes sense because the aloe vera gel is indicated for chaffing, sunburns, skinburns, etc etc. I am hopeful the thickness will return, but I think it will take time. The discoloration will start to disappear first.

It's worth a shot man. It's been working for me. Try the cream twice a day, and aloe vera gel at night( keep it in the refrigerator). Also, this will be hard, but try to not look at your penis too much. Only glance down and take a look at the affected burn once a week to check progress. This really helped me. It will consume your mind otherwise. Just let the cream and gel work their magic.

When you apply something that is cooled to the skin (particularly that area), it has a soothing feel to it.

thank you very much and i noticed that the rubbing friction against my boxers and jeans all the time slow the healing process down alot and i recently found a plastic tube that is just a little bigger than the circumference of my penis and i put it on all day and put the very sensitive tape around it to hold it on. It works great it makes it so nothing is touching the head giving the skin real time to heal, and clean it alot obviously but ive found that it feels much better and stablizes allowing the burned thinned sensitive skin to heal you. Not very difficult at all its not noticable and it worth looking into. Along with applying the cream you are talking about i feel that in time it will heal completely.Thank you very much for your insight keep me posted on your status would really apreciate it

Hey, I too have had a problem like this. Took about three months of reinjuring myself for me to completely leave it alone. Mine is more of a friction tear than a burn though. I'm about a month into the healing process and the affected area is super discolored and thin. I've been using aquaphor just to keep it lubricated. Just this morning I bought the cicabio creme off amazon. I plan on using that the second I receive it. Hopefully the second month heals fast -____-

I had a very small friction burn just below the head at the very end of the shaft. Fortunately, it kind of scabbed up after a few days. Scared sh*tless to touch it incase it got worse, I simply showered a lot. I used no cream really. When it scabbed, I knew to not dare pick at it. I was scared that discolouration would be left. In the shower, I held the shower head very close to my penis (blasting it furiously with water). i would go from red piping hot water, to ice cold water. This must have turned me on because I got a boner when it was cold and was flaccid when it was hot. Point being, the constantly stretching and unstretching of the skin on my penis caused the scab to just fall off.

General advice when something is wrong with your penis? No touching. It just makes sh*t worse.

I hope this is useful for someone.

I also had a friction burn on the head of my penis. It burned, itched like crazy.I also tore a small area under the head. I tryed most of the stuff on here. Not much help. I put up with it for 3 weeks and asked at the drug store. She said it's probley a fungus from peeing and she gave me Jock itch cream and a anti itch cream. Avalible over the counter.  It work like a charm. In three days the redness was less and a week later it's gone competely.

Works for me and I hope it works for you.
