I suffer from the chronic headaches for more than a year now. I know what meds are about to help me with this but the thing is they're not helping me always and I am actually so depressed and frustrated over pain that it affects my emotional and professional life. I just need some help and info of how to deal with this frustration over pain. Thanks.
I know how you must be feeling, it is the truth that the pain of whatever kind might make a person depressed and frustrated. I will tell you how I deal with the frustration over pain. it is not like this frustration affects only your life but also the life of the people that are around you for you must be probably angry, upset and very sensitive for the chronic pain you feel. Try to combine your headache painkillers with some antidepressants but keep in mind that taking antidepressants might have caused you gain some weight and also psychotherapy has helped me a lot for this helped me in regaining the control over my life. there are also some other self-help steps such as-relaxation, rest, positive attitude, quit smoking and drinking alcohol and I figured out that work out and frequent exercise helps a lot. try to exercise at least 3 or 4 times a week and I am sure this would help you dealing with frustration over pain for it is proved that exercising is very effective in dealing with the depression.
