Hello, I am 11 weeks but don't actually 'feel pregnant'. All I felt until yesterday was tiredness and heartburn. Last night I experienced some stabbing pain in my pelvis. Is this a normal feeling in 11 week? Shouldn't I see someone if it happens again? All suggestions and comments are welcome. thank you
Hello, I am 24 weeks pregnant today! Last night I started having stabbing pain in my lower left pelvis and it doesn't follow any pattern and it seems to come and go. The ER monitored the baby and my contractions and doc said I was having some very minor contractions. Overall, my cervix is still closed. They think that the stabbing pain is round ligament pain, but I think it is too early to feel this in 11 week. I think it is better to check this.

Hello carol,

Increased sensation of heartburn is very common in pregnancy, most women do experience it, even if you didn’t have any problems with stomach acid before. It’s caused by the changed way your digestive system is working, basically, the same reason that causes you to feel morning sickness. To ease the heartburn, you should try to avoid heavy and spicy food, especially three hours before bedtime, because heartburn tends to get worse at night.

As far as the stabbing pelvic pain is concerned, this is something that I think you must mention to your doctor, so that you can have an ultrasound, even if it is just to make sure that everything is ok. It might be caused just by baby movement and growth, but still.
