Re: bleeding... It doesn't take much blood to look like a lot. The vast majority of girls have a hymen just inside the opening of their vagina. The hymen is a thin piece of tissue (skin) that is stretched across the opening. This tissue is there to protect the developing sexual organs of the young girl. It has perforations that allow for menstruation, but fingering yourself (and of course, intercourse) will, of necessity, usually tear the hymen, permanently removing it. There may be some brief pain as this happens, and there will most likely be a little blood, but the tissue soon heals, and the vagina is now ready for actual sexual activity, including as much masturbation as you like. In olden days, the rupturing of a girl's hymen was at the core of the idea of "losing one's virginity", usually by engaging in sex with a male (intercourse or coitus ). Some societies still condemn a girl or woman for NOT being a virgin (not having an intact, unbroken hymen) when she is married. Most Western societies don't subscribe to this notion anymore, and girls are not judged by whether or not their hymen is intact. Although that idea remains in the public mind, most enlightened men think this is an outdated and idiotic idea. It is entirely natural that upon initial penetration (either by fingers or a penis) some slight bleeding will occur, but it shouldn't last too long. As with any tissue damage, if bleeding continues or is heavy, medical attention should be sought immediately. Don't be embarrassed to have a health professional check it out -- your safety and well-being are the most important thing.
