I'm just learning about this. I cannot believe what Gluten intolerance can cause. How one can be diagnosed wrong for so many issues..and come to find out they are gluten intolerant. It can appear to be exzema, endocrine problems, cold sores or cancer sores, Crohns disease, Colitis, mental issues. The list is long and odds are, if you have a first level family member with some kind of gastro issues..etc...and you have the same or other issues....it well could be gluten intolerance. Read up on Gluten intolerance or Celias Disease...you'll be amazed at what you find. I was. MY poor daughter has suffered with this almost her whole life. And when (by accident) read about gluten intolerance...I almost fell off my chair. She had every single symptom with the first level family issues... It only took well over 20 years and lots of wrong diagnoses...when all along....this is what is was all along.

mucus in your stools
bloating
growth issues in infants or small children
iron deficient
dehydrated
read up on it...if you have these symptoms..but been diagnosed with something else...and treated for it...but it never helps. you can have one or more of these symptoms...or none at all....my daughter had almost everysingle one of them. her father has colitis my son(her brother) has crohns...thats a symptom along with all the others shes had. I still cant believe shes suffered all these years...and not one doctor put the pieces of the puzzle together...especially now days how aware doctors are about gluten intolerance and what it can cause.

Thank you for sharing this valuable information with us. I think doctors are sometimes too busy to pay close attention to their patients. As a result, the patients suffer needlessly. We need more observant mothers like you.
I too have celiac disease and a host of other autoimmune disease.I was diagnosed after 15 years with one doctor after another.I had everthing from thyroid storm to mental problems and everything in between.I still cant belive not one doctor thought to send me to a speclist of one kind or another.I mean polyglandlar autoimmune syndrome,thyroid storm,B12 animia,(please excuse my spelling).and more,the list goes on and on.And to top it off I was expected to pay for the misdiagnosed and all the medicine that comes with it.It cost me a small forturne.And a life time of suffering.
