I've been on the Depo shot for around two years. The last time my shot was due, I was really moody and just about hysterical the entire week before it was due. I've decided now to go off of it because I want to live naturally without any chemicals, etc. My shot is due at the end of the week and I am terrified I'm going to get hysterical again. What should I do? How long will the moodiness last after stopping the shot? I've also been feeling nauseated lately, but I don't know if that has to do with the shot or something else.
I know how you feel. I've been on it for 6 months and have decided to stop... i'm about a week away from when i'd get my next shot and i've just been extremely sensitive and moody for this week and last. I end up crying and getting into a funk over things i'd usually just roll my eyes at. Ak!! I don't know, I actually found your post while looking up the side effects on stopping the shot. It's nice to know it appears to be somewhat normal!
I'm stopping the depo right now, and I am totally paranoid, anxious, agoraphobic and not sleeping right (I was sleep walking last night).
I am gonna go see my Nurse Practitioner this week and tell her the experience I am having. I'm switching to the Minerva IUD so I hope that it doesn't cause any major side-effects... :P
Have your symptoms stopped? I am five weeks coming off and experiencing everything you stated. Its bad and I just want some relief. Thanks
Has anyone's libido got increased extremely when going on depo shot?
