Hi all. I know that this post may not be the most appropriate one but I after reading the responses to the guys showering together I was curious if this is a new attitude in the 20 something crowd???
I just turned 45 and all through my high school and college it was really no big deal about the nudity thing. But, to me it seems that today there’s extremely modest generation coming up behind. I notice this at the gym, where a lot of the younger guys do not shower after their workout but simply leave. Also, even if they do use the shower they seem extremely embarrassed to be in there with the other guys. So, I’m just interested what it is? Is it just a generation thing? Is gynocomastea a real factor? I would like to hear your thoughts. Thanks

When I went to junior high (back in 1985) the gym coach acknowledged that most of us had never been exposed before and that it was no big deal after the first time. And, he was right. Now gym is an elective class in a lot of school districts and showers aren't required anymore and only who do some sports there actually take a shower. Simply, there are no kids taking shower nowdays. I don't think gynocomastea is a real factor...I think it's fear of exposing themselves and the 'gay' factor. I mean, many will say that a boy is a gay if he takes shower with other boys, etc... Anyway, I think these are the main reasons...
