I had been taking Premarin 625mg for 18 years , i had a Weirtheims hysterectomy due to cancer at 37 . 2005 my G.P. lowered my dose to 300mg as was going by all the research on it that it put women who had taken it for more than five years at high risk of breast cancer . Since i decided to go off cold turkey about 3 months ago . Now suffereing side effects of not taking it and looking at going back on to the lower dose . Also have found out that its not the estrogen only one that the research was done on , its the combination one Progesterone and Estrogen . I have had yearly mamograms and ultra sound for the past five years and keep healthy . My idea to have yearly mamograms due to taking H.R.T. and G.P. thought a good idea as well . The private breast clinic i go to say i am o.k. taking the estrogen only Premarin , and my breast are easy to examine by mamogram and ultra sound . Have spoken to my G.P. and she says to go back on the lower dose and see if i feel any better , as well as Gynecologist say its good for you ! I would like other oppinions on this and if anyone else has taken it for as long as i have . The trials done on the combination one as far as i found out , were done on American women who were obese and had been taking it for about 30 years . Who do we believe about all one hears and reads ! So if anyone is out there who has been on it as long as me please reply !
It is good when you hear and read many things but sometimes it can certainly be confusing, especially because you can’t tell how things work as you have no experience with it.
Considering, both of your doctors recommend you to go back to a lower dose, I guess they have taken your individual situation into account and their experience is telling them, this should work or be good for you.

Considering you have too matching professional opinions, I would stick with it.
