Cortisol injections both hip ball/socket. Instant relief of two week’s Level 4 pain. Downside: insomnia first night seems normal, so relieves my worries. Thanks for everyone’s posts. Be well. John Halliday

Same here. But a little less sleep, I bet is better than the pain all day

Cortizone shot in both knees today at 11:30 am. Second time in 3 months. First time it didn't affect my sleep but this time here it's 3:50am and still can't fall asleep.

Got a shot in my shoulder on Thursday 4:30 and slept fine that night. Now it is Friday into Saturday and I went to bed at 10:30 awake at 2:30 it’s now 5:15 am I feel tired but keep getting jolted awake when I try to sleep. This happened to me before when I had an injection in my spine and now I am putting two and two together. This is ridiculous because you are in a perpetual state of fight or flight. I hate how this effects me especially when my job is so difficult.

Glad I'm not the only one. Had 3 cortisone injections in my back about a week ago, and I've been waking up every 2-3 hours in the night, wide awake, and sweating. I've always been able to sleep through the night, rarely even waking up to urinate. I hope it resolves in 1-2 weeks as some people have said.

I received a cortisone shot yesterday afternoon in my wrist/thumb area. I have dozed off a couple of times, but not for very long. Up most of the night. I looked to see if sleeplessness could be a side effect....and found theses posts. Answers my question.
