Dear anyone,
I had my gallbladder out around 4 years ago after it had become infected, enlarged and hardened. I suffered with awful pain, occasional D&V and just feeling "rotten" and various foods and drinks would trigger off an attack which could last up to 3 days. I was told that all would return to normal once it was removed so i went ahead and had it done. After, the pain was awful and felt sick and had an upset tummy which lasted for weeks.
Once i felt a little better i attended a lavish dinner party and ate and drank what i wanted. This resulted in me being extremely ill for 3 days within a couple of hours! and its all gone down hill eversince. The allergies and intolerances have increased and I am about to see a specialist in the next couple of weeks to see what they can do or suggest. i am slowly building a long list of foods that i have to avoid in order not to set off an attack. during an attack i have the following:-
loose bowels, dry wretching, sweats, rashes, (mainly on my chest), tightening of the chest, racing pulse/heart rate and my whole body goes into spasms (anaphalactic shock i am told).
This can last for up to 6 hours and sometimes the medics have to be called to inject me to calm it down. I also have some small tablets which i can take to try and control it (available over the counter called Buccastem) which helps with the wretching, loose bowels and spasms. Once the attack has finished i am left feeling drained, tired, sore tummy and the dreaded gall bladder pain and an awful taste in my mouth. this can last a couple of days depending on how bad the attack was. Going out for a meal or party is a nightmare as i either do not eat or i have to make a fuss and request that my food does not contain anything i am allergic to. this is very difficult as i am now allergic to: the majority of oils, especially olive oil, high fat dairy products, ALL alcohol now (used to only be wine and champagne) which includes if its in food, olives, and various food preservatives.
Last night i discovered (after a method of ellimination) that i have now developed an allergy to prawns/shellfish and today after consuming them last night I am feeling rather rotten.
has anyone else had this? does anyone know of anything that could help me? i am feeling rather fed up and wondering where this is going to end!

Your post describes me almost exactly. 5 years ago I could eat anything. Now a year after a gall bladder removal I am allergic to gluten, dairy and eggs. It’s hard to find anything I can eat.
Often I get the same nauseous, diarrhea, pain, sweats, heart rate etc.
It’s brutal to say the least.
In any event I’m just trying to learn my new diet. Phenegran has helped my nausea.
Has you symptoms subsided?
