Hello everyone, let me start by saying that I have never been pregnent before. I have had unprotected sex with my boyfriend for about 4 weeks now. (We are trying to get pregnant) I have been extra tired, I have been cramping one the left side, directly accross from my belly button. I have had a thick, white/light brown discharge (for the past week). And for some reason, my stomach feel bloated (feels really full). I have been going too the bathroom more often (if I don't go right away, I have a very sharp pain on the left side and underneath my stomach). Mouth is extra dry. I had a head cold about a week ago, started off just feeling like something was in my throat then it turned into a head cold. I'm hoping to be pregnant, but I don't want this to be all In my head. If I am pregnant, I would be about 4 weeks around December. 7, 2010. I know its to early for a home pregnacy test, just hoping for the best. :D I also have a question. How far along do u have to be before a pt. To detect that your pregnant? Hope someone can give me good news or at least some hope. Thank you

A blood test by a doctor can tell you if your pregnant right now if your willing to do it.
But if your almost 4 weeks you may be able to get a result form a home PT test. The more pricey the brand the better they usually are.
The tiredness and discharge is a symptom of early pregnancy, however be wary of any pain. As pain on either side of the stomach could be "Ectopic Pregnancy" which takes place in the fallopian tubes instead of the uterus where it should.
Feeling bloated, cramping, and pain can also be normal signs of ovulation in which then you would not be pregnant.
So it's difficult to say this early on.
I'd start with a cheap home PT test now...then try again in 3 days. IF it is still negative and no period see a doctor. If pain gets worse and I mean "unbearable" go to the ER.
Good Luck!
