My brother woke with his right hand unable to make a stop-sign (hand drop). He thought it was due to sleeping with his arm up and sleeping on it. The chiro checked his alignment, told him to up his vitamin B's, sleep with his arms in a t-shirt to avoid arms moving up, do cold laser for possible inflamation, and use a wrist guard. When it didn't get better they referred him to a neurologist who did the electrical poking test and told him it could be a while. Now, the left hand is doing the same thing. He has feelings in his fingers, has grip, and is getting by--- but he can't work (he has to lift a lot of boxes). His neurologist had never encountered this before and is now researching it. I got some physical therapy exercises off the web. Any ideas?
