Same deal for me- Frustrating as hell but also no health insurance so just have to suffer in complete frustration having to feel like an older man than I am. I use same stuff DeBrox and peroxide ( but at this point you can feel that stuff just sitting in there adding to the clog) but nothing stops it. It goes mostly from my left ear while right is a bot stuffed but clears up. Its every morning and thats not good because you wouldnt hear a fire alarm if it were going off its so congested. I too didnt know what to do but its gotta stop sometime. I get same breaks for a period of time but this most recent is now 2 weeks and counting. I tend to pull my ear with my finger and at times it opens up a bit but all the goo comes back after a nights sleep. maybe try sleeping like a bat? I dont know but this really sucks and you end up getting headaches and feel "off balance". Totally frustrating and aggravating and makes me snippy and angry at people because I cant make out what they are saying and i think its also affecting my speech because I always hear back "what"?
Same Here! Exactly these symptoms
I've been having a similar problem with my right ear (I sleep on my left side, so my right ear is facing upward) except it feels like fluid or wax for sure... I haven't gotten a chance to try any earwax removal stuff because I'm at a vacation house right now and have been since it started. I'm getting similar feelings to when I recently had an ear infection, where my ear would feel blocked and my hearing lessened, but if I tugged at it and maneuvered it in just the right way I could restore hearing again for a short time until I either laid my head on my right side, or the blockage decided to come back on its own.
The difference now, however, is that I don't feel like this is an ear infection. There's no pressure or pain at all, and it's MUCH harder to fix it than it was when it was just swelling and excess fluid from the ear infection for some reason. I think maybe I'm overproducing earwax or some sort of fluid and it's messing with my inner ear or something to that effect... Otherwise, it's a problem with something here at the vacation house! I'm going home today so hopefully this won't happen again when I get back...

Wow thank you so much. I need both of my ears during school to listen to other instruments AND I WAS SOOOO WORRIED that it was going to be clogged forever
Hey guys, i also had this experience but got it solved by changing my sleeping pillows. i got a stronger pillow after discarding the old once which were actually too soft. I hope it works for u.
I have same problem. It happens almost every night. The ear which gets the most pressure (sleeping against pillow), will be clogged. I feel it isn't totally wax problem thought my ears secretes wax more than normally. Ear cleaning products are all in vain. It seems to be more like ear's inner part irritation. If i happen to dig ear, like by finger, it's almost surely clogged in the morning, and the ear has some sort of moist sensation inside. In most of the cases the clogging sensation goes away during morning, sometimes just need to yawn strongly. In worst case i can even feel/hear some fluid moving in there, and if that's the situation the loss of hearing may last several days. In that case my remedy is no digging, and eating oranges.
I've been told that my ear channels are pretty tight so that's probably one reason but still i don't believe wax and tight ear channels are the main reasons just maybe partial reasons.
I'am perplexed what's the underlying problem. It could be some sort of mild allergy/food intolerance symptom but haven't been able to track down the main reason. At least...no digging, NO digging, no matter how itchy or clogged the ear is feeling. Digging clogged ear...it makes my ear have even weeks long hearing problems.
And yes, pillow may matter. I thought harder pillow might cause too much pressure on ear but maybe it actually could help ear to get some fresh air? Soft pillow covers whole ear and probably follows the ear shape so blocking totally air changing. Maybe the pillow's material should allow better air flow, and not heating ear.
Just thinking, i think i've heard there's pillows out there made from seeds and those are cooling but no idea if there's any related health concerns. Never tried such and never seen anywhere to buy.

ear only stops up after getting up, about noon. no wax. taking anti-biotic
yes, its also only the left ear for me
I get this problem at least once a year and always in the warmer UK months. It usually last around a week and then completely goes until the following year. Like all of you, I only get this in the morning, however I can hear again if I put my finger in my ear and pull downwards against my ear and I literally hear a pop and my hearing has returned. I've had this for several years, even as a child. It doesn't require any medication and doesn't cause me too much discomfort as I can pop it straight away. I've had to have my ears syringed twice in my lifetime.
i just had this same problem, i went to the doctor today and i told them ive been doing the wax treatments and they went in my ear and scooped out a ton of wax that wasnt caught
Have you tried pulling your earlobes down and swallowing? It may sound silly, but it has worked for me. I gues it helps to release pressure.
Mine is happening in both ears
Alright. This happens to be too. As far as i can tell this happens to me when i sleep on my old pillow which is flat and not breathable anymore. This doesnt happen when i sleep on a new high pillow which is breathable. The only reason why i dont like using the high pillow is because it causes back pain for me.
Buy a new pillow which isnt very firm and try. It should go away. I am not sure as to why a different pillow works for me but if i have to guess i think its because of the elevation on the neck and head.
