I am a 30 year old female who just had Gall Bladder Surgery. It has been almost two weeks. I was fine at first but since yesterday I have had terrible pain on my right side going into my back. It is an 8 out of 10. Is it possible to have a puss pocket or an infection of some sort this far out from surgery? Please; any advise would help.

I had my gallbladder removed almost 3 months ago and still experience pain more so than before surgery.. Not only does you body have to learn to function without your gallbladder but it has to learn how to distribute fats. If you haven't been eating low fat - to no fat I would consider doing so. For the first month you should eat very light and non fatty foods to ease pain. Hope this helps.

I had a hernia removed and 6 weeks later I started having terrible pain and aches thru my joints, sweats and feeling real sick. I ended up with an abscess from the surgery. So please let your Dr. know how you're feeling. I ended up having MRSA and was in the hospital for a week while they tried to kill this infection. The best of luck to you.
