i have hep c and just found out i was exposed to hpv.i did use a condom,and am wondering that since the woman i was with was very wet did this increase my exposure to hpv. is there any way to sanitize the area to reduce chance of hpv transmission after sex
Hpv is transmitted through skin contact. So a condom is useless if trying not to contract it.
According to the CDC, condoms do reduce the risk of contracting HPV from a partner. However, they are nowhere near 100% effective in eliminating the risk of HPV transmission, because it can indeed be spread by skin-to-skin contact. Note that even lesbians can transmit and contract HPV, for example, as a lesbian friend of mine recently discovered!
