I'm scheduled with Dr. Chandler Dora at the Mayo Clinic at the end of May (if COVID-19 doesn't force another reschedule).  I've seen multiple people asking about him, both in his earlier private practice in Tampa and in his current position at Mayo Clinic but have not seen responses.  I know that Dr. Dora had his residency in Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN, which is highly rated in urology but other than positive reviews online I haven't been able to get direct feedback on his abilities.  I worry, of course, about SUI and UUI caused by damage to one or both sphincters.  I've read about several techniques that are supposed to reduce the incidence like complete en bloc and Omega Sign.  Can anyone give be feedback on either Dr. Dora's results if you had a procedure with him or the technique(s) he performs.  I choose him due to the large number of procedures he performed and the reputation of the Mayo Clinic and his location.  Although it is the Rochester and Phoenix Mayo Clinics that are mentioned most frequently with regards to excellence in Urology, Jacksonville is a 2 hr flight from my home so opted for that one, particularly if I need to travel back due to complications.  Any help/info would be appreciated, I'll return the favor after my procedure.

Thanks,

Well, I can answer my own question. I had my Holep procedure at Mayo in Jacksonville with Dr. Dora and it was great. I flew in on a Tuesday to get setup in the AirBNB. I had 9 appointments on Wednesday including a drive through COVID test to prep for the surgery. I had the surgery on Thursday and stayed in the hospital 1 night. Was discharged in Friday. Everyone was wonderful. The results were all I had hoped for, at least so far. I'm almost 4 weeks post surgery. I would highly recomment Dr. Dora and Mayo clinic, both if you are local and if you have to travel.
