This isn't a home remedy, but I also have psoriasis, ALL over my face (which gets terrible in winter, my face hurts to touch and it gets super flakey). I've been trying different things.
In the summer, when it isn't really bad and its just a little flakey I use a lotion my doctor gave me called Desonide 0.05% Lotion (which is a substitute for Lokara). I'm not sure how much it is because my insurance covers it, but it's a nice thing to have, it doesn't feel thick on your face.
Just recently I went to the store, looked at the moisturizers (near cosmetics) because I wanted to get something different to use this winter and I'm glad I did.
I got a package with 2 4 oz containers. "Fruit of the Earth" brand. with a HUGE E on the left side of the writing. Vitamin E skin care cream is also written on it.
I use it after every shower and in the morning before I leave the house, and if I think I'm about to flare up, that night as well.
It feels a little thick, but it soaks into the skin VERY well and leaves my skin soft and flake free, even when I have makeup on!
And I can't remember exactly what I payed for it, but it was under $10. (:
I highly recommend this. (:
