I am 13 years old and overweight. I am 5'2 and about 175 pounds. I feel really bad about myself all the time, and nothing I do helps. When I lose weight it just comes right back. I need a lot of help but don't know what to do. :'(

hey i feel ur pain i am like 5 feet 4 inches tall...... i weigh 113 and i want to go down to 100. i now what u r thinking omg she is aneraxic..... well no i am not i am pressured.......... k so i have 4 sisters and a mom.... they r like all tall blond and skinny model like people... me i have brown hair and i am like a size 3. them a double zero. also in my school letsjust say i control peoples social life,,,, i am cheerleader captain and volleyball captain.. every body is looking up to me......... o ya i have a twin......... well i need help to see if i need to lose weight or not.

Look, you guys I'm a 12 year old girl and I weigh at least 125-130 pounds.......I know at our age we feel uncomfortable.......AROUND GUYS AND FRIENDS AND STUFF LIKE THAT....you see all those skinny girls walking around the street and on TV..you say you wish you were like that....my own advice....I used to have a very low self esteem of myself.......until I found out by a really good friend....be happy with what you are....everyone is special in their own way......besides...we are at an age of when we are unsure of ourselves....we are in the middle.....don't worry you are beautiful...everyone is....don't think about what others say no matter how tempting it is.....I USED TO BUT I HAVE PEOPLE IN MY LIFE THAT LOVE ME FOR WHO I AM......YOU DO TOO.......never ever ever say you are ugly or fat........AND IF SOMEONE SAYS SOMETHING ABOUT YOU...GUESS WHAT!!!...IF THEY SAY SOMETHING MEAN ABOUT YOU THEY ARE BASICALLY INSULTING THEMSELVES..(A FRIEND TAUGHT ME)............IF YOU WANNA LOSE SOME....drink lots of water....3 meals and excersize....do some sports...or walk to places that are close to your house.....do activities with your friends.....DO SOMETHING THAT MAKES YOU GET OUT OF THE COUCH, COMPUTER........love yourself never hate!

I am 14 years old and I am 5'6 and I weigh 135 pounds. I want to lose about 20 pounds but I don't want to go on a very strict diet because I am scared to lose too much weight.
For breakfast I usually have a bowl of Special K cereal
I don't eat lunch.
For dinner I eat whatever my mother gives me such as steak, fish, pasta, or chicken.

I also drink about 4 glasses of milk each day and I was wondering if instead of all that milk should I replace with a special drink? I also do ballet but I don't do as much of it as I used to so I was wondering what other good sports or exercises should I try? I really want to strengthen my abs so if there is any type of exercise that can help me get abs that would be so awesome!

I really want to lose weight because of comments coming from classmates and friends and I know I shouldn't pay any attention to them but its hard you know? Please give me some advice...I would greatly appreciate it.

okay, well like its not that im fat fat [no offence for anyone in any way], but i look HORRIBLE in bathingsutes and tite shirts and stuff like that. i way like 125 and im 13 now. and like all my friends are skinnie, and well i feel stupid. boys dont really talk to me THAT much, but they never call ME to go to the movies, i always tag along cuz one of my close friends invites me. and like all the grls have b-day partys at the beach and stuff like that and i feel so ridiculous infront of the guys...and other girls! im trying to eat about 3 meals a day that arnt to heavy, and a little snack in between. i only drink water wen im thirsty, and i do exercizes in the morning and at night. and also i walk to skool and back. and every thursday i run a mile for skool. and i play sports every day 4 P.E. but...IM STILL FAT ! ! ! i hate this!!! i really really really wana be skinnie, and all of my family makes fun of me in a serious kind of way i absolutly HATE it. i really wanna lose wait before May, and right now its January 2008. this totally sucks :-( can any1 help me plzz!!!! okay, thx bye... *sigh*...

Hi everyone, im a 14 year old girl, i weigh about 131 and im 5'4. i need to know is this normal? i know alot of you people are more than what i weigh and may think she is skinny. but alot of the people at my school are extrmly skinny. i get really embrassed and hind in my sweat shirts. im also a size 7 or 9. it is also embrassing to go shopping with my friends. i really need to know what i can do to go down a few sizes. :]

hey.

im 13 and about 180. ino how you feel . im trying to aswel.
i walk everyevening after dinner for about 20 mins . and i play soccer and do horse riding.
i am starting to eat lots of fruit and veg and drink lots of water. im starting to be able to resist my choc cravings. e.g today i wanted a hot choc so i went to ask my mum if she cud make me one so she did and wen i got it i took a sip and poured the rest down the drain. just to show myself i can resist the temptation . you shud try doing that with your fave fatty food. it really helps.
you can do it.. believe in yourself, eat well. excerise, but most importantly.. have fun losing weight - enjoy the excercise !!

To those who are 5'4 and up, being 130 isn't bad, even if you're 13 or 14. Actually, it's near average if I'm not mistaken. Now, if you're 5'0 and you weigh 120 or 130, even then you're only a bit over-weight. My mother lost 40 pounds by running alone, and though most won't do that, other things will help, too. Just... try not to eat any extra things, like snacks. Only eat three meals a day. Oh, and try to eat smaller portion sizes, that'll help. Even a few crunches a day might do the trick, because I know there are some who want to lose weight but don't have the resources like a gym, or something. Just try doing active things and eating less, and drinking more water. Because water helps flush out bad toxins and makes you feel more full, so you'll eat even less.
