What really helped me lose weight was to cut out all fried food, soda. Drink lots of water. Challenge yourself! Toss out all the extras like mayo and seek the taste of food solely on its own. Substitute veggies for your side dishes. Walk walk walk and excersize! You'll only maintain weight by eating well and maybe shed a few but the real loss will be made when you sweat it off.
As far as breads go--try a multigrain or rye. Noooo wraps. They're a whopper of calories!!! And white bread is just fatty starch.
Above all, don't go without eating to try to lose. It never really works and you'll end up on the floor eventually.
Make sure you are getting meat and vegetables in each meal. And if you snack, try sliced cucumbers or fruit. Watermelon is sooo good and sooo hydrating. good luck. Be smart. :-)
