A good paying job huh?
Here's a few things to consider:
-Get married first so he'll have a legal obligation to support you and your baby becuase you won't be able to finish school and get a decent paying job.
-How much health insurance does his "good paying job" have? Will it cover the expense of labor and delivery, especially if there are any complications (you are pretty young to be giving birth)?
-Does he have any dental insurance to cover both YOU, the baby (teeth come in and they need regular check ups in a couple of years) and himself?
-Does his "good paying job" pay enough so he can afford a mortgage payment, homowners/auto/medical/death and disability insurance, 2 car payments (so you can take the baby to doctor's appointments while he's at work), groceries (they don't nurse forever) for 3, and a way for him to retire eventually with just 1 income.
Are you ready for parts of your body to sag and get streched out for the rest of your life from pregnancy?
Are you willing to give up on your own future before you've even had a chance to finish school, find a great career, travel, and live your life before you have to spend every minute of your life caring for another human for the next 18 years?
Please give this some thought. My wife and I both make very good money from 2 professional incomes and we can BARELY afford our monthly bills. We have ZERO credit card debt, I'm just talking about car payment, mortgage, income tax, homowner's insurance, vehicle insurance, life insurance, groceries, electric, water, gas, etc... I have FULL medical and dental benefits through my job but if I didn't we'd have to consider taking on second jobs to make ends meet.
The cost of living is pretty expensive and I just don't see how any 18 year old could earn enough to support a young family by himself.
