What are the signs and symptoms of pain killer abuse, specifically percocets. Would a person be able to hide the use of this to people closest to them?
As a previous Percocet addict I will tell you what my friends and family told me AFTER I came "Out"! They KNEW I was an addict WAY before I did! I would be out with them - for a coffee or a drink etc - and then I would just get up (because I started shaking) and LEAVE!!! 2 of my freinds (a guy and a woman) actually grabbed a hold of me to make me stay 1 night and I said "NO!" And I went home to get my "Fix"! The same girlfriend and I were at the movies and watching the movie Ray! And I started shaking at the EXACT same time that "Ray Charles" was on the big screen! I bent over and whispered to my freind "I think I'm an addict!!!" She replied "We KNOW you are an addict!!" After we went for coffee and she told me that ALL of my friends had been phoning and emailing each other with their own concerns! My itching, my twitching, my bad tempered IF my high had run out! My OVER the top reactions of "LOVING" everyone when I was ON!! So IF you feel it, it IS!! Does that make sense? Taking percocet or any other drug in pill form is FAR easier to conceal than Snorting, Smoking, Injecting etc. They can take it in the washroom and there is no Smell, no physical signs etc. So Ask them! they WILL swear up and down that they don't have a problem! NEVER threaten them with taking it away etc. Unfortunatley the old standard still stands it's up to them to realize they DO have a problem! If you can talk to this persons doctor too, there is help out there for them! It's a HORRIBLE drug!!! And it's NOT their fault! It is LEGAL herroine, that most people don't have a clue that it is as addictive and powerful as herroine! The makers of Perc were actually taken to court and sued for hiding the fact that they knew that it was SO addictive!!! And most "Legal Addicts" don't think of themselves as addicted BECAUSE it is LEGAL!! That's the word in their court!
