My b/f and have been messing around unprotected. All we used is VCF Spermicide foam. He has ejaculated me every time. Needless to say, I am now a month late for my period and been super emotional lately. I have not had the money to by a test yet.
Just wondering the foam spermicide really expires a year past it's due date, and if it decreases the effectiveness?! Been looking around and can't find anything that answering my question. So was hoping I would get lucky here.

I'm afraid there is a reason why it is called expiry date - that its the date by which (any) product is safe to use, or in this specific case, it is the date after which you cant expect product to have effects it is supposed to. And if the spermicide is a whole year past its expiry date, well than, all its spermicidal properties have probably long have gone. I'm sorry I couldn't bring happier info. But were you ovulating at the time you had unprotected sex?
Alright. Thanks. I was fearing that. My friend had told me she read somewhere that somethings that have expiration dates on them as a precaution and that sometimes they don't expire when said they will. Was hoping it was the case with this as well.

Owww :-( They don't expire like a week after a expiry date, but a whole year... that is simply too long to expect that it had the effect you needed.
I may just be totally screwed then. I was hoping. But that may be in vain! I just need to wait to get some money so I can buy a test. :-(

Yea. I am sorry too. Cause he said if I am pregnant, he wants me to abort. I would never do that. Ugh. I see the kind of man he will be. :-( I'll post on here and let you know soon as I know either way. Keep your fingers crossed that I am not pregnant.
I definitely will keep them crossed- only hope that remains is that his sperm count is low. But do reconsider - if he is this sort of a man who takes away your right to make this vital decision about your body and the life of your potential child - is he the man you can really count on in your future life? I know that its even more burden now, with everything that is going on, but maybe now is the time to take your own life into your hands. But, pfff, I just hope the test comes out negative!

#1, if you used a product that is a WHOLE YEAR past the expiration date.... you are not wise enough to have raise a kid n-e-ways. and everyone is entilted to their own opinion, but dont judge abortionby saying UGH cuz everybody has a different story. some women have benn raped and do not want to carry that burden...... hope you make the right decision and next time look up what "expire" means 8-|

Okay. Gotcha. I thought you meant reconsider abortion. My bad. I am reconsidering being with him, big time, pregnant or not. Abortion is murder and I could never do that to an innocent life. I did not notice it was expired til about a week ago. Considering I ovulated February 3rd(over a month ago), I think I noticed it too late. Does not mean I am incapable of being a mother. I will say ugh when referring to abortion. It's the nicest thing I can say about it. There is always adoption. There is no good reason to kill a baby! Just my opinion and the opinion of many others as well.
Wow. Messing around unprotected, with expired spermicide, no money to buy a test, wishfully seeking an answer that is the opposite of the one that stares you in the face.. You may think abortion is murder, but the alternative sounds to me like "life in prison" for the poor child that you will bring into the world. .... Or past tense I suppose.
