I recently heard about disorder of the receptive speech. Can anyone tell me more about this illness and how it generally manifests itself? I am very interested in learning more because there is a history of all kinds of speech problems in my family, and this is something we may want to watch out for in our kids. Thanks!

Receptive Language Disorder is a learning diificulty, which makes it harder for a person to understand what is said to them orally, and sometimes also affects the way in which a person with Receptive Language Disorder understands written language. Verbalizing themselves becomes problematic as a result of Receptive Language Disorder, causing sufferers additional difficulties. Unfortunately, Receptive Language Disorder isn't always easy to diagnose.
