I have read several pages in my searching for answers saying although it is suggested that postpartum bleeding is 4-6 weeks, many continue until 8 weeks. however i had my baby 13 weeks ago and am still spotting some red blood. at first it began too go away but came back. at 6 weeks my OB said it was fine and normal to still be bleeding, also because i got the depo birth control shot, and would prob keep bleeding for a lil longer. however, 7 weeks later i am still spotting some red blood. ? no clots or anything like that, (not constant bleeding just a lil coming and going throughout the day) im just concerned cuz its been 13 weeks. thanks for any help!!! :-D
Hi Heather! 1st of all congratulations! 2nd it is a bit strange for you to be bleeding this long! And this will be affected by the dep shot! Just give your doctor a call just to find out what is going on! I know depo can REALLY affect your periods at the beginning, but it is usually more about stopping them not continuing them! So just give her a call! And please let me know how you make out OK? Good lcuk honey!
