i just had a minor surgery to remove the cyst in my labium, which was just filled with fluid. the surgery was performed under general anaesthetics and the labium was stitched up again after being slit, and 2 cysts( a mother cyst and a small daughter cyst) were removed.
My question for those who have had similar surgeries is, how long does it take to recover the surgery completely? how long till you can exercise and lead a completely normal life and not have any pain?

Keep in mind everyone is different. But, I am 41 and have had several female surguries including 2 c-sections and several cysts removed. I think the key to recovering fast is not to take any of the pain meds! For me taking ibu or tylenol helps more than anything. The prescript meds seem to stop my system up and make me feel less energetic. It takes me about 2 weeks before I feel totally normal because of the anaesthetic. The main part that is important is for you to rest with no lifting or driving for at least 4 days.( your post op instruct prob say 2 weeks) but it takes at least 4 days for your incision inside to heal. You may also experience some hormonal issues just because of the area. Rest for the first 4 days is the most important. 2 extra strenght IBU and a glass of red wine always was the best treatment for me! I went home less than 24 hrs after my last surgery where they opened me totally up. My Dr had to sign off on it and he was shocked! Teri

hi..on 5 july 2008, doctor descovered that i have a small cyst in my ovary plus i have a very painful kidney and appendix problem. Then the docotr decided to wait for 4 months..but that time i took a herb from myanmmar.
