Runner X speaks wisely I believe. My times indicate I'm pretty close to being in the top 10% of runners in my age group but I really don't feel that I've utilized all my potential. My training is still haphazard and I haven't even begun to explore the world of eating properly. My fear is that running will become more like work than something to enjoy if I start focusing too much on it.

I think i would give myself a 6 in Raw Talent. I was in the middle of the pack in high school and the back of the pack in college cross country (NAIA Division II). So, i know that i was good enough to run for a small school that was in a rebuilding period. I wouldn't be a top runner there, wouldn't make the squad at a larger school, and wouldn't approach NCAA DII or DI. I'm certainly not world class. So, i'll give myself a 6.
