During orgasm there is an intense tingling sensation followed by a series of rhythmic muscle contractions at the base of the penis. There are usually between 6 and 10 muscle contractions, a little less than one second apart. It feels like a throbbing or pulsating sensation that lasts about 10 seconds or so and then stops. These contractions cause the ejaculation by squeezing the urethra and forcing the semen out, often in spurts. If your body is not producing semen yet, you can have orgasms and you will feel the throbbing but no semen will come out. This is a dry orgasm and is completely normal early in puberty. So the idea is to make sure you reach orgasm and feel the throbbing and don't stop too soon, and semen will start to appear when your body is ready.
