I had this problem for two months - a weird discharge, no smell just strange little clumps like wet toilet paper and my vaginal walls felt oddly dry. I couldn't find a solution online - just lots of women like me wondering what the hell it was and online docs insisting it was a yeast infection... So, I had tests for yeast infection, bacterial vaginosis etc. as well as STD checks and nothing! My doctor literally shrugged and said she had no idea what it was...no help at all! So I decided to figure it out for myself.
I had tried lots of things (moisturing pessaries, thrush treatments, changes to my diet etc.) but the one that worked for me was Balanc Activ BV Gel. It's a treatment to restore the ph of your vagina and is used to treat bacterial vaginosis... even though I didn't have BV, I was clutching at straws by this point so I gave this treatment go.
I used it every day for seven days (best done at night right before bed) and it was all cleared up by day 6. I then used it once a week for the next four weeks just to be sure and I haven't had any problems since (a few months).
There are other products available that do the same thing, this is just the one I used. I assume if you buy any ph restoring gel or pessarie it'll do the same thing. Oh and I have stopped using tampons for a while to give my vagina a chance to recover as I read that your vaginal ph changes during your period and tampons can add to the problem.
Obviously, this is only my experience and I think going to doctor for all the tests first is the best idea but the gel isn't going to do you any harm so it's worth a try.
Hope you feel better soon!
