I don’t know how to describe my self but the closest word would be- paranoiac. Just recently I have started to notice some symptoms that remained me on one exotic disease.
About three or four weeks I have read some facts about some parasite disease called fascioliasis and now it seams like I have all the symptoms! I'm starting to feel flu-like symptoms, strong abdominal pain, sweating, dizziness, and hives.
Can someone tell me how could I be sure that I didn’t develop this infection. How is this disease commonly diagnosed!?
Please help!
Hi. I know some facts about this parasite infection because I've read about in Clinical Microbiology, exam that I've passed not so long ago.
Like you assumed, you really do have all the typical symptoms although it doesn’t have to mean anything.
Many liver or stomach diseases have almost the same symptoms and you really can't say for sure what’s going on with you.
Fascioliasis can be diagnosed on several ways and most common are complete blood cell count, liver function tests, stool examination for eggs and parasites, CT scanning, MRI, cholangiography, liver biopsy and laparoscopy! I hope this helps!
