I want to know how what the percocet withdrawls are and how long they last? and if you just stop taking them, cold turkey, is it worse? please someone answer all of these thorougly i really need help!
Hi Hon: If you go to the top of the page, under SEARCH, then in the Author, put in my ID - bambi27 - you will find a WHOLE lot of messages about percocet and opiates.
1st of all I can not say enough, DO NOT just stop the percocet. It can be deadly!!!!!!! Depending on how long you ahve been on, your entire body is used to the pills. So if you just stop them, your heart could actually stop, even though this is rare. It still can happen. And the effects of cold turkey are unbearable!!! You need to wean yourself off of them, and if you are in pain, you need to find a good doctor who can compensate the lowering of the dose of percocet with subsituting it with a non addictive pain medication. You need to trick your addicted brain into believing that you are still on the medication. Because if you do not, your addicted brain - will stop at NOTHING - to get you back on the drugs. And I mean nothing. Vomitting, Diareha, Shakes, Palpitations, PAIN+++++++++.
So please read my other posts on the subject, and do it slow and you WILL get off of these. Just don't be in a hurry OK? It could take several weeks to months, but if you do it correctly, you WILL do this!!! Good luck hon, and HAPPY READING!!!! ;-) XD
