Hi all. My daughters’ roommate says she has something called HPV or HTV. She forgot the correct name but I hope you know what she means. Anyway, she seems very unconcerned about it. She is 19 and doesn’t want to talk to my daughter about this. I’m very concerned so please tell me if it can be transmitted from one person to another??? Can it be transmitted by bathroom useage and things like that??? Please help me clear this up. Thanks
Well, first of all, there is nothing wrong with your daughters’ roommate not telling her more about her disease – she has no obligation to do so. She has a right on her privacy and you should respect that. Anyway, she probably has HPV (at least I never heard for HTV). HPV is an STD that can be transmitted only thought direct skin contact and your daughter will not get it by using the same bathroom. She shouldn’t be sharing toiletries but that is a general rule, regardless the disease.
Why dont they talk about htv or hpv is more affrective then aids ar std it can kill . all that u hear about is aids and std . why dont they ever talk about hpv or htv ??
There is a STD called HTV, it is carried by some men and there is nothing that can detect it until the female partner catches it and the doctors catch it on a pap smear.
What are the symptoms of HTV disease?
