Okay soo... Im on birth control for 6 months now. I take the 28 pills pack and I started spotting today. Its like brown discharge but when i wipe its kinda red like im about to start my period. I dont start my blue pills (period pills) until sunday. Im confused as to why this is happening.. my boyfriend and i who have been together for a year and a half dont use condoms because we dont like them but i take my pills everyday on time.. well.. i take my pills at 9pm every night and i didnt have my pills with me one night after we did have intercourse so i had to take it the next morning. Why do you think im having a brownish discharge?? It it because i took one pill late when ive been taking them on time for 2 months straight? Or is this just normal?

Brown blood is "older" blood.
It is possible that you taking the one pill a bit late is causing this. Since you did take the pill you were "protected."
You can also just sometimes spot/bleed.
