I had my gallbladder removed almost a month ago. First 5 days no bowel movement. Now my problem now is I have to go to the bathroom once I eat. It's so annoying and a I get a lot cramping like symptoms. I go to the bathroom at least 10x a day. I am so scared to eat outside now. Is this normal?

Unfortunately I think the only people that take the time to right their reviews are the ones that had ossues and need a venue to vent.

I got my gallbladder removed on 1/2/18 and it has been going on 4 days that I haven't had a bowel movement. I'm passing gas and my stomach is making a lot of noises and now I feel bloated. I was also on a clear liquid diet before the surgery for 4 days because I was admitted to the hospital with pancreatitis, so they may be part of the reason I haven't been able to go and the Percocets I am taking. I have been taking Dulcolax everyday hoping I will soon be able to go.

I know this is a very old post but just because your gallbladder was removed doesn't mean you won't have anymore gallstones they can form in your bio ducks and there just as bad you should have had your dr. Do an ultrasound on your bio ducks to see if there were any stones there. Dr.s won't go out of there way now days that's why so many people go years with problems because of something the doctor should have done. My wife was in a car accident and the doctor said she would have to have a hip replacement but wanted to wait because he just put a plate and screws in her ankle and he wanted it to heal before doing a hip replacement and then the doctor moved out of state and after she healed went to another doctor to have the hip replacement and had 7 mri's that wouldn't show anything wrong with her hip even had a nuclear MRI and nothing I had to tell the doctor to look at the first MRI that was taken the day of the accident basically yelled at the doctor to do his job. After 5 minutes of yelling he put me on hold and got back on and apologized several times and said the whole hip shierd off and couldn't figure out why it didn't come up on any of the mri's that she would need a total hip replacement and even showed us the first MRI so we could see but already knew from seeing it the day of the accident. So just to show you have to make sure your doctor's are doing there job because some look at it as a 9 to 5 job and don't like to be thorough

I had my GallBladder removed on June 8th 2018. I never knew being so freakin' sore could even be possible.
I'm leaving this reply because I've yet to have a 'Bowel Movement' and it's been a full 48 hours as I type this.
I also haven't farted any more significantly than I would fart Pre-Surgery. I guess my natural farts are just that disgusting and impressive.. anyways;
I haven't had any greasy foods, I've drank maybe 8 Ginger Ale since getting home. Which reminds me, the first two nights I urinated 3 Liters per night, plus day time toilet usage. I'm not kidding. I use a supplied urine jug from my moms Nephrologist's office to keep track.
But this BM business is starting to worry me. I've been taking the supplied Stool Softener and Gas X daily to try and counter the Opioid consitpation I'm expecting from the Fentanyl, Dilaudid and Hydrocodone. Plus whatever else they gave me I was unaware of.
So yeah, 4 incisions, the one under my Solar Plexus is extremely sore and I can't poop after 48 hours.
I'll call them after 72 hours if I'm in the same shape. Until then.

My surgeon said if you have gallbladder attack symptoms and or become jaundice to go back to your doctor cause it could mean they clamped a stone or crystal in the duct.

I like to drink but am now unable to. It takes me so long to choke it down, and then I feel sick. It's just not worth it. That, along with the apparently healthy diet I will be forced to eat, yes, I have been weepy and tired. ( I've also been very cranky) I walked around the block this morning, and am going to try to use this time in my life to get healthy and appreciative. I partied hard for a long time, and I think if I hadn't have been forced to quit I wouldn't have. I have no more spare body parts that I can afford to lose.

Hello.
If you are having difficulty passing stool after having your gallbladder removed, you may need to make some diet and lifestyle changes to help manage your symptoms. Increasing your fiber intake, drinking plenty of fluids, and exercising regularly can help to reduce constipation.
You should also talk to your doctor about medications that may help to ease your symptoms.
