I am fourteen years old and female.
I recently had my virginity taken and as some people said,I was on my back and received oral before intercourse, and when my orgasm came I experienced numbness in my feet and my hands locked up in a clawing position. I had to make my boyfriend stop because we were both freaking out when I told him I wasn't able to move my hands. I had to look this up. Thankyou for posting,I'm not so scared about it now.

I lost my virginity when I was 14. And have had 8 different sexual partners. But I have recently started dating a girl after being single for the better part of 6 months. The other night, she was giving me road head and after I came I got the tingling in my lips and arms and I had to pull over because I had trouble driving. Tonight, she was giving me oral and I started to get the tingling feeling. This time I didn't cum, and I had to make her stop because my whole body went numb and I couldn't breathe. And now that I look back, I was breathing very heavily. I feel like the main source of this is irregular breathing. And since I haven't had a partner in a long time, it would make sense for me to not be used to it.

I CAN TELL YOU ALL WHY THIS HAPPENS! iT IS NORMAL DO NOT WORRY!!
I too get it the same sometimes, to the point where my hands are locked into a claw, and all the way up to my elbows I'm completly paralysed, with the same in my face as well. I feel like I'm pulling a stupid face but can't stop, and can't talk properly either. This is why the french refer to an orgasm as 'le petit mort' or 'the little death' due to this being almost like rigamortis! The reasons this happens is that, during a clitoral stimulated orgasm (hence why usually experienced when receiving oral), the stimulation along with the hyperventalating causes a huge release of oxytocin (the involvement of hyperventilation is why the numb hands can also occur during fainting/dizzy spells or acute illness like severe vomiting). This literally saturates the nerves in the extremeties (hence in your fingers and hands and face, and also feet for some people) causing your muscles to contract constantly, hence the paralysis. It can take quite a while for all of the oxitocin to be used up, hence you can stay paralysed for quite a while after stopping sex! I hope this helps some of you now that you know WHY it happens. The first time this happened to me I had no idea what was going on and was really scarred, and also very embarresed! But this happened last night with a new partner, and I was able to reassure him of what was happening. He seemed rather smug when he realised it meant he was doing really well, so I think knowing why this happens will help a lot of you feel less self concious about it, and help you to enjoy it!!

Ive been experiencing sevier numbness on the hand ive been using to masturbate everytime, both right and left even before I ejaculate, and it just recently started about 1 month ago, this raises concerns as to weather or not this raises a serious concern if it is normal or not however after reading many posts ive come into similarities with everyone saying that they have been feeling this numbness while lying down on their back, and lack of blood flow or circulation of the body can cause thus numbness similair to when experiencing this as we say for example we sit down in the same place for soo long we feel numb..
Thanks for the posts everyone...

i get this when receiving oral and I love it! Happens a long time before I come but lasts for maybe 10-15 minutes after. And I feel a bit like when I used to smoke weed. So very likely a chemical rush in the brain! Enjoy it!

I get this during oral sometimes. My hands and face will begin tingling and get more and more intense, and eventually my hands will get stiff and i will not be able to open my fists. It is a result of hyperventilation which sometimes you don't realize you're doing while you are so focused on the pleasure. I used to have severe panic attacks and the same thing would happen. I was sent to the ER a few times and they told me to slow my breathing wayyy down and within a few minutes the tingling, numbness, and stiffness would fade away. When i begin to feel it, I try to pay attention to my breathing and regulate it.

I have had a similar feeling when I was younger and had to take a trip to the ER. Now it happens during sex and I've never had an orgasm. When I was in my early teens, I went to the ER with sever stomach pains, worse than I had ever felt then or since, and I couldn't control my breathing. My fingers were bent forward and and met the end of my thumbs (like duck hands); the doctor kept telling me I had to slow my breathing but I just couldn't. They concluded food poisoning. I've only recently started having sex, (I've only done it a few times now) and each time I have had a similar experience with the numbness in my hands, but not my face as other people have, but I was on my back like many other people who posted. I don't think I've had an orgasm and last time this happened sex still hurt a little and I wasn't really enjoying it but kept going hoping pain would go away. I'm glad other people have experienced this but it sounds like something that's not going to go away.
Thank you for reading.

I've been experiencing this also. I ciertanly haven't had a orgasm, but it's happened when I have started feeling really good, but then all my attention has gone to my hands...one time I couldn't move my hands. As it has happened to me in a different context and it had to do with breathing, then this breathing thing lot of people metion here, seems something it could be. But this breathing thing dosen't explain why people seem to experience this while lying on back...these times I've experienced it, I have always been on my back.
