Too the female that is trying to get prego, what did you do to get rid of your BV?
Most people can't go to Dr. for regular check up's but some have gotten a diagnosis and antibiotics can get expensive. So, if you got rid of it naturally can you tell me what you did?

men, if you have this it could b a bowel issue or Mono <- however that is spelled....anyways...women, it could be MOno, but i i do know that if you have this a couple of weeks after ur period, it's fine. But don't take my word for it, check with your doctor!

Not at all. It helps you get pregnant basically. It helps the sperm survived in your body for about 5 days. So when you see it is really thick, try not to have sex unprotected or there is a greater chance of pregnancy.

its a sign of ovulation..some become pregnant during this time...but its perfectly normal as long as its clear...u prolly get it a week after ur period right? but i would still get it checked because there are some cases where it can go hand in hand with HPV. so jus check it out... :)
Having this, this doesn't necessarily mean your pregnant right?

uhmm yeahh that's gross.
i have that too.
hahaha.
did you ever fix it ?
Wait but i haven't gotten my period, but i've noticed every time or most of the time i finish using the bathroom there is a sticky white residue left over. I looked at my vagina with a mirror and there were little, i guess, chords of the same white sticky stuff in there. I have no explanation for it and quite frankly it scares me. most people say ovulation, others say its discharge, and some say a disease. I'm not really sure who i should believe and i don't know what to do about it. Any answers???
no this does not mean ur prego , my tibes are tied and im doing the same thing i wondered if it was a std or somthing , thinking my hubby may be fooling around , i cant ask him if n e thing slimy is coming out cause he would think im crazy but i would like to know a fix because this never happened till after my kids wore born at least i never noticed.
all it is, is you ovulating. nothing to worry about. that comes out to help the sperm climb you vaginal wall and help it stay alive longer to get to your egg. if its green or yellow and has a bad smell then you should worry
Most likely you have found your answer right now, but since I've noticed a lot of different "diagnoses" for your problem, I'd just like to comment on them as a physician.
BV is a very common vaginal infection that is not necessarily sexually transmitted, though anything that can upset your normal vaginal flora -- including intercourse -- may make you more susceptible to developing such an infection. Symptoms can include a gray to white discharge, burning and intense itching. But the big thing is the odor. BV usually causes a smell that you'll never forget (anyone who has done a pelvic exam can attest to this). Some people describe it as fishy. In fact, the "test" for it -- which involves dropping a bit of KOH on a sample of the discharge to see if it produces an odor -- is known as the "whiff test."
Chlamydia is usually asymptomatic, especially in females. Symptoms can include discharge, pain and burning on urination, and an increase in urinary frequency. It's important to treat it to avoid complications down the road, including pelvic inflammatory disease (PID).
Most likely, however, this is just a normal fluctuation in the consistency of your discharge over the course of your menstrual cycle. As mentioned, vaginal discharge can get pretty thick around the time of ovulation, which serves to increase fertility by making an environment to help support sperm survival.
Do you find that this discharge increases after sex? One possibility that I don't recall being mentioned is simply the normal lubrication that is produced in response to sexual excitement.
Honestly, it is most likely a normal fluctuation in your discharge; however, if you are concerned or develop any new or bothersome symptoms, please get examined by a doctor. Just a bit of advice -- the information here is very helpful and usually quite accurate, but be weary of people who "diagnose." I've noticed a few posts beginning with "You have..." or "This is...". It is impossible to make an accurate diagnosis without a complete medical history and physical exam. This info is good for getting an idea of the possibilities, but should never serve as a substitute for an actual medical evaluation.
Good luck!

BV is caused by a bacterial infection and, honestly, the only consistently reliable and effective way to treat it is with antibiotics, often Flagyl (metronidazole), which is relatively cheap.
