Hi! Quick question for the experts here.
Could levonorgestrel, the hormone released by Mirena, cause a false negative result on an at home pregnancy test?
How about four of them? I'm experiencing symptoms of pregnancy, but the tests that I have taken are negative.
If not, what could be causing my symptoms?
Thank you for your help.
It's possible, yes. In some women, hormonal birth control can cause the body to think it's pregnant, giving pregnancy symptoms. You can see if the symptoms will go away over time or switch to a different birth control, possibly non-hormonal.
