Hello, I am 15 years old. I have two questions about acne: what are they and what causes them? I noticed that some girls already have them but I don’t, so doesn’t it mean that I am not in puberty? I am confused.

No it doesn’t mean that. Acnes are disorder that occurs due to the overproduction of oil by the oil glands of the skin, which leads to plugged pores and outbreaks of lesions commonly called pimples or zits. It usually starts in puberty, but necessarily. However, it is widely believed that it results from an increase in hormones levels called androgens (male sex hormones) but other factor is thought to be as sebaceous gland that blocks the skin pores.
