Hi! I'm 19 years of age and I have been on my period for a month now and it's scaring me!! I had surgery last year because I had a cyst on my right ovary so I had it removed because it was 10cm big, and that was the only solution that my doctor said that can solve it. I had also got my appendix removed during the surgery because the doctor said it was infected. After my surgery in September 2016 I rarely had my period normally than I used to. My doctor had told me that i need to stay on birth control to balance out the hormones, but my mother doesn't believe in birth control and I am also nota fan of it. I didn't want birth control because I don't trust it, but seeing how you ladies have also used birth control and it hasn't helped you all either. So back to the beginning week of August 2017 I just got my heaviest menstrual cycle and it's been going for the whole month now, about to head on to a new month now. My friend had told me that it's normal, and one of my other friend says that she had the same thing I have and she is still doing fine. I'm just scared that I won't be able to have children when I want them.
