Hi, i'm 17, not on birth control, (never been to the gyno), and sexually active with one person ( usually no condom, but no ejaculation inside of me) anyway, for like the past week, I've noticed something is kind of sore in the entrance of my vagina, but haven't really inspected it alot, along with it i have bloody, brown, thick cottage chesse like discharge, that was just blood after sex, which didn't hurt, but I'm worried, I've gained a few pounds, but I don't have any other syptoms of pregnancy, and don't think i am, bcuz my boyfriend and i have had sex regularly for 8 months, and , well, I would have noticed...anyway, I'm a hypocondriact, and I always think somethings wrong with me, and i can't get to the gyno due to transportation and when i had an appt. they rescheduled me twice,, anyway, its thick, grainy, and red, brown and pink sometimes, other times it's kind of like a brown water, and once it was just blood for about 10 minutes...please help I'm going nuts...thanks
Don't assume that your not pregnant because when you take a chance with no protection on either of you, you are running a higher chance of being pregnant. You may not be now, but having a kid at 17 is no fun and games. If your bleeding you need to see your doctor ASAP!
The moment you have blood involved or sores that are unidentifiable is the moment you should go see a doctor. if you don't then you could have long term affects that are irreversable. For example: You could end up having an infection that could cause a problem with your overies. If you are planning on having kids at anytime present or future it could be put at risk if you don't check it out.
The vaginal area is an important part of your body and just your body you need to take care of it. There is no small problem when it comes to it! Why do you think that we have Gynocologists... because we have so many things that could go wrong.
Hope this helps and I hope you take my advice on it! It doesn't kill to go see it.
Ps. Its a good idea to pee after having sex. It cleans you out.
